When I was 19 I joined the Royal Marines , who are a highly trained elite fighting force that are recognized globally for their expertise.
The marines basic training is the longest in the world and are the only fighting force that are deploy-able straight after training. At 32 weeks the training is twice as long as the Army and three times longer than the Navy's, during training you are taught a wide are of skill which include shooting a rifle at varied distances, performing tactical room entry's, Tactical insertion into unknown territories, Performing ambushes, how to apply camo.
The marines aren't just about big gun fights we are also taught how to conduct ourselves with respect. Learning how to march brings a bond of unity into the troop as if one person is out of time it throws the whole troop off.
